The Ride - for motorcycles
Last year Dream Ride athletes, family, friends, volunteers and sponsors proved that even a natural disaster couldn’t stop them from giving 100% to such an important cause. Despite Hurricane Irene that canceled the event in 2011, Dream Ride still raised and donated $220,000. Fortunately the weather is now clear and we are ready to ride!
Dream Ride 2012 is back and better than ever. Since its inception in 2001, this wonderful event has brought a diverse group together to celebrate the achievements of Special Olympic Athletes. With over $1,252,000 in fundraising raised to date; we are PROUD to have motorcycle and car enthusiasts from 8 states gather together to commemorate the achievements of individuals living with intellectual disabilities in our communities. This unique charity motorcycle ride and car cruise highlights the athlete's accomplishments and determination to shine while displaying their athletic skills and willingness to succeed. This special event allows our athletes to demonstrate their strong will and determination celebrate their accomplishments and enjoy a day in their honor. Dream Ride helps raise awareness and funds for such a worthy cause. We're proud to ride out in the 12th year with our official sponsors, Bozzuto's Inc. and The Hometown Foundation, Inc. and hope you join us for another spectacular year.
The Dream Ride 2012 Team genuinely thanks all of our outstanding sponsors, participants, volunteers and the law enforcement communities for their unending enthusiasm, generosity, and commitment thru the years to this event. We personally invite you to join us on Friday, August 17th & Saturday, August 18th as riders from all over New England, New York and Pennsylvania will ride into Connecticut and join Dream Ride. Then on Sunday, August 19th we will celebrate the 12th Annual Dream Ride Day – an event filled with motorcycles, classic cars, trucks, and MORE!!!
The Show - for automobiles
Dream Cruise 2012, presented by Papa’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is a chance for auto¬motive enthusiasts to not only show off their cars and trucks but an opportunity to cruise into Dream Ride with a Special Olympics athlete.
So whether you enjoy two, three or four wheels, this is one event where we all ride together.
The Dream
Continuing the mission of Dream Ride the much-needed funds will go directly toward the thousands of Special Olympics Athletes living in your communities. As an organization, Special Olympics helps foster lifelong development of children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
With this cause so clear and dear to our hearts, we are once again proud to announce our partnership with The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. This is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness campaign.
Annually the Torch Run has more than 85,000 volunteer law enforcement officers from over 46 nations, 12 Canadian Provinces and 50 states. These volunteers carry the Flame of Hope™ alongside Special Olympics athletes into the Opening Ceremonies of the local competitions, as well as, the State, National and World Games. The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics' which started in 1981, is the largest grassroots fundraiser which raises public awareness and millions of dollars. Your participation in Dream Ride and support of the Special Olympics mission will help keep dreams alive in communities everywhere.
Once again, THANK YOU for your participation in Dream Ride 2012 and your support of the Special Olympics mission. Together we help keep their dreams alive!!
